Services for Legal Professionals

Forensic Capabilities

01 - eDiscovery

eDiscovery

We handle the identification, preservation, collection and processing of electronically stored information (ESI) for litigation. This includes email archives, file servers, cloud storage, mobile devices, databases and collaboration platforms. Our eDiscovery process follows the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and produces defensible collections that meet court requirements for completeness and authenticity.

02 - Witness

Expert Witness Testimony

Our principal examiner Ryan has provided expert witness testimony in seven court cases across British Columbia. Expert testimony covers forensic methodology, evidence interpretation, data recovery processes and technical findings. We prepare comprehensive reports designed to withstand cross-examination and present complex technical concepts in language that judges and juries can understand. We are available for both plaintiff and defence engagements.

03 - Authentication

Evidence Authentication

Digital evidence must be authenticated before it is admissible in court. We verify the integrity of digital artifacts using cryptographic hash values, metadata analysis and forensic examination of file systems. Our authentication process confirms that evidence has not been altered, fabricated or tampered with since collection. This includes examining email headers, document metadata, image EXIF data, file timestamps and system logs to establish provenance and authenticity.

04 - Chain

Chain of Custody

Maintaining an unbroken chain of custody is essential for evidence admissibility. We document every person who handles evidence, every transfer between parties and every action performed on evidentiary items. Our chain of custody records include timestamps, locations, actions taken, tools used and cryptographic verification at each stage. These records demonstrate that evidence integrity was maintained from the moment of collection through its presentation in court.

05 - Reports

Court-Admissible Reports

Our forensic reports are structured for legal proceedings. Each report documents the examination methodology, tools used, findings discovered, supporting evidence and examiner qualifications. Reports include cryptographic hash values for all examined evidence, detailed analysis of relevant artifacts and clear conclusions supported by the evidence. We produce reports that satisfy judicial requirements for expert opinion evidence and provide the foundation for expert testimony if required.

06 - Analysis

Case-Specific Analysis

Every legal matter is unique. We tailor our forensic approach to the specific requirements of your case. For employment disputes we focus on email communications, file access patterns and data exfiltration indicators. For intellectual property matters we examine file copying activity, USB device usage and cloud synchronization. For fraud cases we analyze financial records, deleted files and communication patterns. We work closely with counsel to ensure our investigation addresses the specific facts at issue.
