Offline Activation

Activate Sherlock Forensics tools on a machine that has no internet access. You do this here on a connected machine, then carry the result back.

How it works

  1. On the offline machine, open the tool, click Activate, expand "No internet on this machine?", then click Save activation request. No license key is needed there. Copy the file it saves to a USB drive.
  2. On this machine, upload that request file and paste your license key. Or switch to Enter machine ID and type the ID the tool shows.
  3. We return an activation file. Download it and copy it to the USB drive.
  4. Back on the offline machine, load the activation file into the tool. It unlocks at once and never needs the internet again.

Manage your seats

Moving to a new machine, or need to free a seat on an air-gapped one that cannot connect to release it itself? Paste your license key to see where it is activated and release a seat. Releasing a seat only frees capacity, it never changes what you paid for.

Air-gapped machine? In the app, click the PRO or FREE chip then Release seat. It shows a release code like 233-723. Enter it here with your license key above to free that seat.

Release by machine ID and check code (from the app About panel)

Paste your license key above first. The machine ID and check code are shown in the app under the PRO or FREE chip (About). The check code stops a mistyped ID from releasing the wrong machine.
