IT Forensic Examiner & Security Specialist  

Mr. Purita is an accredited security professional in British Columbia, Canada, who holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), the Information Systems Security Architect Professional (ISSAP) and the Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP) certifications. The CISSP designation is the only designation that is awarded ANSI accreditation under the ISO/IEC 17024 standard, and the only globally recognized security certification. It is recognized by the FAA, NSA, military, financial institutions and the business community as the leading qualification in information security worldwide. 

Mr. Purita is also an EnCase Certified Skilled Examiner (EnCE Certification.)  The EnCE Certification is the world's leading credential in the field of computer forensics and is recognized by law enforcement, government and the courts in Canada and the USA.  

 

Ryan Purita's credits include:

  • Conducting IT security audits, risk assessments and forensic investigations for a wide variety of companies, ranging from five to 50,000 users.
  • Consulting on security related initiatives and strategies to prevent outside and inside exploits and threats  used by hackers  in their ongoing attempts  to defeat information system security
  • The development and implementation of secure system design used to audit and test the strength of firewalls and network security.
  • Conducting wireless network security audits (vulnerability assessments) and monitoring for intrusion detection.
  • In-depth knowledge of incident handling and recognition as an "expert witness" in both civil and criminal litigation related to computer and mobile data forensic investigations.
  • In addition to his busy schedule as a lecturer to professional associations, he continues to appear on local and national TV (including documentaries), radio, print and online media as an expert on issues and concerns related to information security and computer forensics.
